Today Year 6 had first-hand experience of daily life in 1940s, war-torn Britain. The children saw a labyrinth of tunnels under part of the town centre which provided shelter – and a way of life – for Stockport and Manchester families through the dark days of the Blitz.
Today the children in Year Three visited Moorside City Learning Centre. We spent the whole day working on a program called Kar2ouche. The program let us make a ‘movie’. We decided which characters to use, which poses, which backdrops and which props to use. We then used speech bubbles and even sound effects to complete our movie. We all had a great day and learned a lot at the same time!
