Today the children from the Juniors were escorted into space on an interactive musical spectacular. We celebrated the music from iconic fields such as Star Wars, Thunderbirds, Dr Who and Star Trek. The children enjoyed singing songs especially composed for our space voyage and learnt about some of the most famous composers in film history.
With the help from MAPAS the infant children sang and performed songs from all around the world. Many of the children were invited to play instruments and some of the children dressed in traditional costumes.
Children from each class helped to plant over 600 tulip bulbs in the school grounds. We look forward to seeing them flower in the spring.
The Deans Primary School and St Patricks Secondary School were very proud to be chosen by the Authority to represent them in the Greater Manchester Challenge. The four children had to work together and chose to produce a montage showing Salford in the past and looking to the future. The painting was displayed at The Lowry along with entries from other Local Authorities in Greater Manchester
