Science Week competitions!

Today we told the children all about a competition they can enter this week if they would like to!

The infant competition (for Year 1 and 2) is an inventing competition! If you would like to enter you must come up with a brand new invention! It could be something that helps people, a new toy, a new machine or maybe a new mode of transport! It’s up to you! Hand your entry in to your teacher by Friday morning playtime. School council will choose the winning entry and the winner will be announced in Friday’s assembly.

For the juniors (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) we have a famous scientists quiz! If you would like to enter you must ask your teacher for a quiz sheet. You then need to research the scientists and record a few key facts about them. For example:
Name: Alexander Fleming
Dates: 1881-1955
Nationality: Scottish
Most famous for? Discovering penicillin
Hand your completed quiz sheet in to your teacher by Friday morning playtime. All correctly completed entries will be put into a draw and a winner will be picked out at random in Friday’s assembly!!

Good luck!
