Carols at the Cathedral

Unfortunately we were asked not to take pictures!

Last night I had the absolute pleasure of watching our choir perform at Manchester Cathedral as part of Action for Children’s annual Christmas Carol Concert.

We were one of five choirs performing, and although I may be biased I think we were by far the best.  The children represented the school with great distinction and helped to raise lots of money for a great cause.  Most importantly the children had a wonderful experience performing live in a beautiful building.

We performed as part of the larger choir and also on our own to great applause.

One of the highlights of the night was the playing of the Middleton Brass Band who had everyone tapping along to jolly Christmas Medleys which you can now hear playing in our entrance hall!

A huge thanks to all the parents and children who made their way into Manchester on a truly bitter night, but of course special thanks to Mrs Whitehead and Miss Boardman for all their hard work practicing and arranging their part in the event.
