Ed Balls visit

Today we had a visit from the Education Secretary Ed Balls.  Mr Balls spent an hour at our school talking to children, parents and staff. He was interested to see how we taught reading at our school and how we involved the parents in this process.  He was also very interested in seeing our classroom of the future in Year 3.  The photos below give a flavour of his visit.

Letter Shapes

The children in the Nursery have been finding out about letter shapes.  Today it is the letter ‘h’.  To help them learn the letter shape they have made a ‘hat’.
