Spooky Arts Week in Year 1!
We have been having lots of fun during our Spooky Arts themed week in Year 1 and have been very busy.
As well as a little messy!
We were very lucky to have a visit from Mark the Artist yesterday, who helped us create Halloween masks. Year 1 used crepe paper, glue and paint to create spooky looking masks! We have also created spooky pictures using charcoal, chalk and pastels and have lots still planned for the rest of our spooky week!

Year 5 Arts Week
Over the last two days Year 5 have been busy using both textiles and clay. On Monday we spent time designing an individual piece of bunting with pictures and symbols on it to show the things which made us unique. We then created this piece of bunting using different materials. These will be all sewn together during half term and displayed in the classroom.
Today we have spent time designing and creating characters out of clay which linked in with our Hinduism topic. Head over to the Year 5 blog to see more photos!
Arts Week Day 1!
Arts Week!
Next week is Arts Week at The Deans! Years 1-6 will all get the opportunity to work with artists in class.
We are also holding a competition as part of the week. If they wish to enter children should bring a piece of Art work that represents “Autumn” into school by Friday! Entries should be on an A4 piece of paper. School Council will judge the entries and the winners for KS1 and KS2 will be announced after half term!
