Splash!

Today Eureka! came to the school and delivered a Science show to children in the Nursery and Reception classes, Years 1 and 2. It was called Splash! and was all about water.

We learnt about the water cycle, sang songs, played a game show and experimented with liquids, including giant bubbles!!!

Trip to Eureka!

Year Two travelled to Eureka! Science Museum in Halifax for their school trip. We spent a lot of time in the Global Garden area, looking at different habitats and environmental issues. We even built an igloo! We then spent time in the Me and My Body Gallery, and the Sound Space Gallery. We all had lots of fun!

What was your favourite part Year Two? What did you learn?

A New Member of Year 2

Year 2 have been learning lots about animals and we have discussed how some animals need our help. We have adopted a Polar Bear and he is being made to feel very welcome! After a class vote, we decided that he should be called Polo.

In Year 2 we have been learning about different groups of animals.

Which group would Polo the Polar Bear belong to? How do we know? What do you know about the other groups of animals?
